Music is always a therapy to the heart, soul and mind. Music can transform emotions; pass a message along. Live music makes it so lively and brings the feeling even more realistic. It stirs participation from both the musician and the listeners or the audience. Live music can be played or performed by one person or a group of musicians to an audience. In live music, the musician plays or performs to an audience by singing accompanied by an instrument(s) or a background track. Most people enjoy listening and watching live music but often don t know where to find it. Live music listings are like schedules that keep audiences in the know on when and where they can get to enjoy live music.

Live music can be performed to various audiences and places. Sometimes in night clubs, stadiums, special occasions like weddings or anniversaries or at parties. In all the occasions, the main aim of live music is to entertain, however it can also be used in other occasions basically to educate and inform the audience. There are theatrical plays that make a statement through the acting and musical performances. There are organizations that travel through the educational systems promoting important concepts. The use of live music helps to impact the message and make it memorable. Music also is able to create a mood and effect emotions such as at a state funeral.

Live music listings provide young musicians with the opportunity of showcasing their talents to an audience. This also works in giving them the courage to be able to stand and perform to a crowd thereby preparing them for greater achievements ahead. Most musicians have the talent and are able to perform quite well but might not be able to withstand the pressure of performing to a large audience. When they are covered in live music listings, they are able to get the exposure thereby giving them career boost while at the same time getting entertained from the satisfaction that they receive.

Live music gives both the musician and also the audience or the listeners the chance of interacting with each other directly. However, from that time until 1950s, concert bands were still held by the military and it basically involved marches. The culture of live music and concerts began to spread to the world after 1952 onwards with various composers creating music for smaller musical groups.
